Ultrasonic level meter’s structure

The compact version ultrasonic level transmitter
The host (parameter setting up, display and signal output) and the ultrasonic level sensor are integrated. The compact version can be installed easily and simply.
The remote version ultrasonic level transmitter
The host (parameter setting up, display and signal outputs) and the probe are separated, and they are connected by cable (the allowed max length of the cable is 1000m).The level probe can be installed easily and simply above a vessel and the host can be fixed freely anywhere in order to easily observe and operate.

Measuring range

Selecting model number according to actual range
The range of solid level gauge is generally one-half to two third of that of liquid.

Power supply

DC24V,±5%
For two-wire system, and the power supply current should not be less than 30 mA.
For three-wire system, and the power supply current should not be less than 60 mA.
For four-wire system, and the power supply current should not be less than 80 mA.
AC85V~265V
Only for four-wire system and the remote version series, and the power supply current should not be less than 50mA.

How to choose the compact version ultrasonic level indicator?

Choose the wire

• Two-wire system: It is standard transmitter which power supply (only DC24V) and signal output (DC4-20mA) use same current loop; Two wires are enough
• Three-wire system: Three-system is four-system in fact; it’s powered by DC24V, either the power supply or (4-20mA) signal output uses one separate current loop. When their negatives are connected, three wires are enough. Its advantage is strong transmitting power.
• Four-wire system: Either the power supply or signal output (4-20mA) uses one separate current loop. Their advantages are strong transmitting power and high and low relay output, and it has some advanced function.

How to choose a proper remote version ultrasonic level transmitter?

HLF series is standard remote version ultrasonic level meter.HLF series has one 4-20mA output, and one RS485 serial communication or 2 relays (high and low).

Mounting conditions for tank level measurement

Closed tank 
For range less than 8m, the size of orifice on tank should be more than that of DN65 flange.
For range of 10m and 12m, the size of orifice on tank should be more than that of DN100 flange. And the length of the connection pipe under the flange should be less than 20cm.
For range of 20m, 30m and 40m,the size of orifice on tank should be more than that of DN200 flange. And the length of the connection pipe under the flange should be less than 20cm.
