Balanced flowmeter is the third generation of differential pressure flow meter,it is a kind of multi-holes orifice plate flow meter, the measurement accuracy of this flowmeter is 5~10 times that of traditional DP flow meter, the flow noise is reduced to 1/15, and the permanent pressure loss is about 1/3, the minimum straight pipe section can be as short as 0.5D, there are no moving parts, the installation and use are very convenient and simple, the large straight pipe section can be omitted, the energy consumption required for fluid operation is greatly reduced, and the flow is balanced. What is the difference between a balanced flow meter and an orifice flow meter?

The straight pipe section is shorter than the orifice flowmeter
The balanced flow sensor is stable due to the stable flow field and the pressure recovery is twice as fast as the orifice plate. The requirements for the straight pipe section are generally 3D upstream and 1D downstream and the small pipe length can be less than 0.5D which saves a lot installation space.
Pressure loss is reduced
