Working Principle of Ultrasonic tank level transmitter

These tank level meters are installed on a top of a tank filled with a liquid in a way that is not immersed in liquid. They consist of a transceiver that emits ultrasonic waves in the direction of the liquid. These waves strike the fluid and are reflected in the backward direction towards the sensor. The time lag in this process is detected and detected as the fluid level in the tank.

Application of Ultrasonic tank level indicator

These ultrasonic level measurement instruments are used widely in industries for the measurement of fluid levels. Any type of tank is applicable to these ultrasonic tank level sensors like metal tanks and plastic tanks. In industries, most machines work on fuels and thus their level is measured by these modern level sensors. Therefore the water industry, oil industry, mining and waste management industries, and others utilize these sensors.
