Why Nitric acid level measurement is a tough job?

Nitric acid (HNO3) is a strong acid with strong oxidizing and corrosive properties. The mixture of concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid is an important nitration reagent. Nitric acid is mainly produced in industry by the ammonia oxidation method to make fertilizers, explosives, nitrates, etc. Nitric acid is easily soluble in water, pure nitric acid solution is colorless and transparent at room temperature.
Nitric acid level measurement is a tough job, because it is acid level measurement, concentration nitric acid could harm the level sensor, also the level transmitter could be affected by the high concentration nitric acid vapor.
