It is commonly used for comparing air compressor nameplates with equipment parameters. ACFM is the actual flow rate at the actual temperature and pressure on site. There is no absolute "accuracy" among the three flow unties: equipment selection, parameter benchmarking using SCFM; Monitoring on-site gas usage, leaks, and energy consumption, ACFM is more accurate and realistic.
